The food we eat can have a huge impact on our health both short-term and long-term. Teaching kids how to make their own healthy meals encourages them to eat 'real food'.
Studies show that kids who are obese by 5th grade will most likely be obese teenagers. Healthy Hands Cooking classes are designed to engage kids as early as 2-yrs old.
Our students are empowered to recreate the recipes at home, which changes the conversations about food altogether for their families. Students are more aware of what they are putting in their mouths, and they are making better choices as they learn to swap out sugar and choose better snacks.
